Collection of vanilla Minecraft deathmatch maps complete with
team select, class select, powerup, and scoring systems.
Project Overview
Project Eventually™ is an ongoing series of medium to large sized Minecraft multiplayer deathmatch maps built with plug-and-play intent, created by myself and a good friend, Adam. Each one can be easily uploaded into any vanilla Minecraft installation map directory or a hosted server for immediate play with friends. Maps and classes have also been moderately playtested with up to eight total players. We eventually intend to have a set of three playable maps as part of this package.

Italy
As the name might suggest, this is a desert-themed map that is inspired by the popular CS:GO map that is its namesake. Taking cues from the FPS design of Italy, I sought to create a similar play dynamic of long sightlines running down the map tied together by some tighter close-quarters areas. Needing to accommodate for melee action in addition to the ranged combat that the original was intended for, more cover was introduced and multiple flanking pathways changed the flow of the game to be a much more mobile event in contrast to CS:GO's demolition-based gameplay.

Temple
Temple was my second map, an exploration into a more symmetrical map layout that utilized immense open areas with poorer lighting, advantaging stealthier and ranged gameplay. Playtesting revealed that the lone-wolf strategy excelled on Temple, rewarding situational awareness and guerilla tactics. Overall, this is a simple map made interesting with the use of lighting (or lack thereof) to draw the eye away from critical hiding places and dark corners.
